![]() McKinley School in Petaluma has been selected to receive a 2018 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education Grant in the amount of $4800 for their Garden Renovation project. With this generous support, McKinley will improve its existing garden space to create a permanent outdoor learning center with raised beds, benches for seating, a shade structure and a food prep area with sink. This project will provide students with additional opportunities to get outside, explore the natural world, and learn about growing, cooking and eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Lowe’s grants are available to K-12 public schools in the United States for a wide range of improvement projects. The next grant cycle will be open for applications August 6, 2018.
