The School Garden Network is excited to once again offer our Schoolyard Habitat funding to Sonoma County schools. We can provide technical assistance and the materials needed to support 500* square feet of plantings designed to attract native pollinators, hummingbirds and song birds to your school grounds.
Schoolyard Habitat designs incorporate food, water, shelter, and space in order to attract and provide a home to local wildlife; even a small plot can be landscaped to attract birds, butterflies, beneficial insects, and small animals! A thoughtful selection of plant diversity will bring a plethora of wildlife species to your school yard. Additionally, nesting boxes, feeders, and watering sites can be used to improve and diversify your habitat.
Supplies provided include native plants, mulch, drip irrigation, gopher baskets, and SGN signage.
