Marley Peifer (he/him), Nature Journaler & Educator
Marley is a nature journaler and educator. He longs for a reintegration of art with science and words with images, a synthesis that he develops in his journals. Nature Journaling became a fundamental practice for Marley when he discovered how it could synthesize his interests and accelerate his learning. As an educator, Marley is constantly sharing, inspiring, and provoking learning in nature and on paper. |
Janneke Petersen (she/her), Curriculum Curator of Symbiotic Schoolyard
Janneke Petersen is on a mission to spark a national movement of science teachers restoring biodiversity to their schoolyard as a part of a high-quality, NGSS aligned ecosystem unit. She is passionate about supporting Symbiotic Schoolyard teachers in doing this. She has ten years of combined experience as a middle school science classroom teacher and outdoor environmental educator. She also has a Masters in Science and Curriculum Instruction from the University of Washington and has written curriculum professionally for Educurious and other organizations. |
Heather Podoll (she/her), Fibershed Learning Center
Heather holds an M.S. in Agricultural Ecology from UC Davis, and has spent the past 20 years involved with research, practice, promotion, and teaching of sustainable and organic agricultural systems. As an avid knitter, she is delighted to bring together her background in ecological research and agricultural systems with a holistic and local perspective on fiber arts and textile systems. |
