Sue McQuiddy is a seasoned Garden Educator in Sonoma County, starting in 2007 for schools in Windsor. Her passion has been garden to table education: providing students the experience of growing fruits and vegetables to harvest, taste, and confidently prepare tasty recipes - while they built a working knowledge of nutrients and healthy eating strategies. She considers her greatest successes the times when students discover they like a new fruit or vegetable, and when students or parents tell her that a Nutrition class recipe has become a family favorite. She strongly believes that school gardens are the natural place for students to apply classroom lessons to the real world environment.
