Creating and Sustaining Your School Garden
This one-day workshop is designed to provide the fundamentals of school garden design and gardening with children. Learn how to build a support network and link your garden program to academic content standards. Gain knowledge of local resources for school gardens. Free plants and seed exchange to follow workshop.Date: March 15, 2008
Time: 9:00am – 3:30pm
Location: Salmon Creek School, 1935 Bohemian Hwy, Occidental
Who should attend: Teams of at least 2 people (one classroom teacher + parents, volunteers, school administrators, or other school staff)
Fee: $40 ($32 for *SGN members) – includes organic garden lunch, resource packet, and the book Gardens for Learning
